Infosec Night: Packet Analysis with Wireshark

In this session, we will review the basics of how network traffic flows, with a discussion of the OSI model and TCP/IP stack, and explore the various features of Wireshark, which is a network protocol analyzer. We will use custom-built packet captures to explore network protocols and malicious network activity.

GOAL: Gain a working knowledge of network traffic analysis using Wireshark.
